umt.edu · International Affairs · Missoula, Montana · Founded 1983
Founded by an Act of Congress in 1983, the Mansfield Center is the sole Rural West nonpartisan institution supporting youth, the military and communities at large through civic and international education. Guided by the Mansfield Legacy of ethical leadership, we support national security interests through education on great challenges including trade, natural resources, language, culture, and international relations. The Center’s Defense Critical Language & Culture Program (DCLCP) specializes in providing language, regional expertise, and culture (LREC) instruction to current and future national security professionals.
