Andrew was one of the best hires we made at Vendr. As we scaled from an early-stage startup into a much larger company, he built a People function that actually helped the business move faster instead of slowing it down. What I appreciated most about Andrew was his judgment. He never overreacted, never got caught up in politics, and always kept the company and our people in balance. He could coach executives, build trust across the organization, and handle the toughest conversations with empathy while still making the right business decision. The hardest moments are where great People leaders separate themselves, and Andrew consistently showed up when it mattered most. He brought a level head, earned credibility with everyone around him, and made me a better CEO. If I were starting another company tomorrow, Andrew is exactly the kind of leader I’d want helping build it from the ground up. I’d hire him again in a heartbeat.

Andrew was an exceptional leader. This was the first time the conference had been created or run. He jumped in and quickly developed a robust vision for the conference, pulled together a steering committee and oversaw the implementation of a complex conference. It was wildly successful, due in a large part towards Andrew's skills and leadership capabilities. He is a deep business leader, understanding what the audience would want and needed, combined with his uncanny understanding of how to get all the pieces to fit together well. He brings his strategic mindset to all of his work, his strength at bringing people along while remaining focused on the details, ensuring a high impact and how to lead a flawlessly executed conference. The conference was wildly successful, due in a large part of Andrew's leadership.

Andrew brings several strengths to the table: he is an excellent listener, thinks both strategically and able to operationalize ideas and issues. Both as an HR practitioner and as a business person. He has a great sense of humor and irony, making work fun. His global mindset is a real asset and adds perspective to work being done on an international level, or in working with international people here in the US. I recently completed a complicated project with him, working hand-in-glove to make sense of and sort why the organization wasn't realizing its goals. The key was in finances and in the data. His meticulous focus on operations, with a keen eye on the strategy we outlined for ourselves served us well. Moving forward 6 months we are in a far better place with not only a clear eyed view to the issues but have a plan to solve.

Andrew brings a good mix of strategic thinking and genuine follow-through to everything he touches in the HR community. Whether it’s conference planning, speaker development, or just being a thought partner, he shows up prepared and makes the people around him better. Andrew and I have worked together in a few different capacities and in all, I’ve found him to be thorough, direct, honest and engaged. I’ve admired Andrew for his willingness to jump into new places and apply his experience and skills to make things happen. He’s been a great partner and a great colleague.
