Every time we place a candidate for a client, there's a little list of things that need to happen after. Send a thank-you card. Ask for a G2 review. Post the announcement on LinkedIn. Small stuff, but it actually really matters. G2 reviews drive new business. LinkedIn announcements get more engagement than almost anything else we post. So this "small stuff" is a real chunk of our marketing engine, and it all runs through the recruiters. When I started, the system for managing this was messy. It was confusing for the recruiters since nothing lived in one place. A bunch of different forms, disjointed reminders, automations and workflows that were really prone to breaking, and required a lot of manual tweaking and maintenance. G2 reviews weren't getting asked for. Announcements weren't getting posted. And I had no real visibility into any of it, so my only move was to go bug people directly and ask if they'd done it. Nobody enjoyed that. Not them, not me. And it wasn't their fault at all - they had a million things going on and there wasn't a single place they could do all of it or even see the status. So I used Claude Code to build a tool that puts everything in one place. Recruiters aren't toggling between five forms, a Slack reminder, and a calendar invite. And I'm not chasing anyone down to find out where things stand. It's only been a couple weeks since implementing it, but early results: The task completion rate is already 5x what it was We can see what's getting done, what's getting skipped, and why G2 reviews picked up almost immediately, which matters beyond the review count itself. G2 feeds into how we show up when people ask an LLM for recruiting firm recommendations, and that's where a lot of our business comes from Increased G2 reviews resulted in Captive Talent being named a "leader" for fall 2026 for recruiting It's still early, but the impact is already significant.

ProfitWellWe were launching a new show aimed at DTC subscription box marketers who cared deeply about retention strategies. The challenge was breaking through the noise in a crowded space and creating a campaign that would genuinely stand out and drive attention to the show among this specific audience. I recognized that our target audience—DTC marketers—were chronically online and early adopters of emerging trends. At the time, ASMR content was exploding on Instagram and YouTube, but hadn't yet been widely adopted in B2B marketing. I saw an opportunity to leverage this trend in an unexpected way. Rather than creating a standard "here's the show" recap-style video, I conceptualized and produced an ASMR-style teaser trailer that unboxed products from our first season. This creative approach was designed to stop the scroll and spark conversation among our hyper-engaged target audience. The campaign delivered exceptional results. Our launch post on the CEO's LinkedIn generated over 60 comments, 150 reactions, and tens of thousands of impressions. More importantly, the comments came from exactly the people we were trying to reach in the DTC space, and they specifically called out the creativity of the launch. The campaign successfully positioned the show as innovative and worth paying attention to, creating the kind of buzz and authentic engagement that standard promotional content rarely achieves in the B2B space.
