Kyriba · Senior Sales Executive, Financial ServicesBuilt Kyriba's Private Equity Customer Franchise from the Ground Up
When I started focusing on the private equity space at Kyriba, we had only a small base of PE clients and the platform itself was built and marketed like a general corporate treasury solution. There was no real brand presence in the PE community and nothing in the product experience spoke to how PE firms actually operate, with funds, SPVs, and their own naming conventions.
I worked with our sales engineers to rebuild the demo environment around actual PE fund structures so prospects could see the product mapped to their world instead of a generic corporate setup. On the marketing side, I pushed to get Kyriba sponsoring and attending the industry events where PE finance and treasury teams actually show up, which gave us a real presence instead of a logo on a slide. I was also part of the team that launched PE peer-sharing events, co-sponsored with partners like Goldman Sachs, bringing together industry participants in Boston, New York, Chicago, and now San Francisco to build an actual community around the space rather than just selling into it.
Over the last three years, this work has turned into real growth: we added somewhere between 30 and 50 well-known PE, private credit, and fund administration firms, including several of the largest PE firms in the world — Hellman & Friedman, General Atlantic, HarbourVest, Berkshire Partners, MUFG, Fidelity Investments, Thoma Bravo, and Hamilton Lane among them. What started as a small, underweighted segment is now a recognized and growing part of Kyriba's customer base.
