Led Infrastructure Audit That Cut Outages 70% for Scaling Fintech Client

A mid-sized fintech client engaged our team after struggling with frequent outages and slow deployment cycles as they scaled from 10K to 100K users. I led the technical audit, responsible for interviewing their engineering team, mapping their current architecture, and identifying the top scalability risks within a tight two-week window. After pinpointing the three riskiest bottlenecks—including a monolithic database and a manual deployment process—I developed a phased roadmap that balanced quick wins (caching, CI/CD automation) with longer-term structural fixes (service decomposition). I presented this roadmap directly to the client's CTO and engineering leads, translating technical findings into a clear, actionable plan for their leadership team. The impact was significant: within three months of adopting the roadmap, the client cut deployment time from days to hours through CI/CD automation, reduced outages by 70%, and successfully scaled past 150K users without major incidents. This engagement demonstrated how a focused, prioritized technical audit could directly enable a client's growth trajectory while eliminating critical reliability risks.
