As Marketing Manager for Emerson Independent Video, a student-led organization that funds and equips students to produce their own films, I handled all marketing communication between the board and episode producers. I pitched campaign and post ideas, coordinated posting finished films to YouTube, and worked to grow our presence across social platforms while keeping messaging aligned with the organization's goals.
I kept our posting schedule steady without overdoing it, aiming for enough content to stay visible without burning out our audience. I also built out a consistent visual identity, using our brand colors across every post so our page felt cohesive and stood out in people's feeds.
That approach paid off. We grew our following to almost 4,000, and individual posts pulled in as many as 8,000 engagements each, well beyond what a small student org typically sees on its own channels.
