August 2023Built Revenue Dashboard That Enabled 90-Day Forecasting with 85% Accuracy
When I joined as Growth Lead, the organization faced a critical visibility problem: the team had no insight into pipeline conversion rates, and leadership could only forecast revenue 30 days out. This lack of visibility meant we couldn't identify which growth levers were working, and strategic investment decisions were essentially being made in the dark. The business needed a data infrastructure that could both diagnose current performance and confidently guide future resource allocation.
I built a comprehensive dashboard in HubSpot that tracked five key metrics across the entire customer journey from lead to close. Working directly with the CEO, I defined conversion benchmarks for each stage of the funnel and established a discipline around the data by setting up weekly review sessions with the leadership team. These sessions became the forum where we adjusted our growth strategy based on real performance signals rather than intuition.
The impact was immediate and substantial. Within weeks, we had full visibility into our lead-to-close process and identified exactly which growth levers were driving results. Most significantly, we extended our forecasting capability from 30 days to 90 days with 85% accuracy, giving leadership the confidence to make bigger strategic bets. Based on the conversion data showing paid ads delivered the highest ROI of any channel, leadership greenlit a $50K investment in that program—a decision that would have been impossible to justify without the dashboard's insights.
